Paul Hardy
My fishing career started in my home town of Grimsby when I was a kid. I got involved in the open match circuit fishing venues such as the rivers Ancholme and Witham, where I won the Intermediate National and the Beamish Winter League.
After narrowly missing out on qualification to the Riverfest 2014, I qualified for the final this year by winning the River Weaver qualifier with over 40lb of Bream.
Although I enjoy the competition side of angling, there’s nothing I like more than targeting big shoals of Bream on natural venues, where good old hard work and watercraft get you your just rewards. I also like to get out with the angling magazines regularly, showing off my angling skills for the cameras.
My ambition is to keep improving and learning new skills and using the products from the Bag’em range is certainly helping me achieve my aim. I’m a firm believer in the additives, but my favourite Bag’em product has to be the Super Skimmer Dark groundbait.
Along with the Riverfest, I also have my sights on the Feeder Masters competition… so fingers crossed.
